SEATTLE--Three of the world's largest wireless companies announced they will bolster their Java-based product offerings through separate but similar licensing deals with Java company 4thpass Inc.
Ericsson, Siemens and Nokia Corp. all licensed 4thpass' Java download technology and plan to resell the technology to their carrier customers worldwide. Ericsson and Siemens will sell the technology to carriers directly, while Nokia will integrate 4thpass' technology with its own download server for a combined carrier product.
