SnapTrack, TCS partner on wireless location server platform. (News).

RCR Wireless News, July, 2002

CAMPBELL, Calif.--SnapTrack Inc. and TeleCommunications Systems Inc. are partnering to provide CDMA carriers a Positioning Determining Entity wireless location server platform that can be shared by multiple carriers deploying E911 systems based on Qualcomm Inc.'s gpsOne wireless location system.

The PDE platform combines SnapTrack's SnapSmart location server software and TCS' Xypoint location platform and can simultaneously fulfill the PDE and mobile positioning center needs of multiple wireless operators. The platform provides carriers an alternative to buying their own PDE and MPC systems.
