Symbian OS to incorporate BlackBerry functions.(Late News)

Mobile-phone makers using the Symbian operating system will be able to offer BlackBerry-style wireless e-mail services through a new deal announced today between BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd. and operating system company Symbian Ltd. Further, RIM today introduced its new BlackBerry Connect licensing program, which the company said allows device manufacturers to equip their handsets with the secure, push-based BlackBerry wireless e-mail services.

Separately, Microsoft Corp. said today that those using its Smartphone- and Pocket PC-based devices would be able to access the BlackBerry enterprise server. The moves are all part of RIM's effort to expand its BlackBerry services. The company has announced a range of deals throughout the...
