Bechtel preparing Wireless Test Bed for new technologies.(Business)

Byline: EMILY MOTSAY Bechtel Telecommunications, a business unit of Bechtel Corp., is preparing to open the Bechtel Wireless Test Bed, a secure open-air location where wireless carriers and vendors can evaluate network technologies, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The BWTB is located on federal land at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, an open-air testing area the size of the state of Rhode Island, according to Jake MacLeod, principal vice president of engineering and chief technology officer at Bechtel Telecommunications.
