"The whole landscape today is very fragmented, with mobile operators, wholesalers like Cometa Networks and many (about 1,500) small WISPs (wireless Internet service providers).
That makes it very difficult for end users,'' said Monica Paolini, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based researcher for Analysys. "Eventually, there will be fewer players, but there will not be just one.
