RCR Wireless News, June, 2003

In the "InPhonic's purchase of Avesair `logical extension' '' story on page 5 of the May 26 issue, the number of companies InPhonic has acquired in the past 14 months is incorrect. The company has acquired seven companies in the past 14 months. * Recent stories regarding the amount of money wireless carriers must pay into the universal-service fund have discussed the use of a 28.5-percent safe harbor.

Wireless carriers choosing to use the safe harbor apply the USF contribution factor to the safe harbor to determine the percentage of revenues they must pay into the fund. If a wireless carrier chooses not to utilize the safe harbor, it would apply the contribution factor to its interstate revenues only.
