Byline: SAM OMATSEYE The word "bubble'' has popped into dialogue about the Chinese market, barely two years after the same market was hailed as the big mine for profits in a weak global economy. Wireless players said that although it may ring true for the automobile or housing sectors, wireless is immune.

But conflicting signals emerge about the market. "China is still the leading market in the world,'' remarked Dwayne Florenzie, senior manager, China market management at Lucent Technologies Inc., which claims to have built about 80,000 base stations in the country.
