Intel acquires wireless chip maker.(News)

Intel Corp. said it has acquired Mobilian Corp., a privately held wireless local area network company. The company makes chips for cell phones, personal digital assistants and other wireless devices. Mobilian, whose chips combine Bluetooth with 802.11b technologies, has raised up to $70 million in funding and has about 70 workers.
