Sprint PCS to pitch baseball audio

Idetic Inc. and MLB Advanced Media L.P. have partnered to deliver live audio broadcasts of Major League Baseball games to mobile phones. The service, dubbed Mobi-MLB Gameday Audio, is available to Sprint PCS Vision subscribers for an additional $10 per month. It features 30 channels, allowing fans to listen to commentary of their favorite teams, regardless of where the team is playing. "Subscribers can now receive the same sound quality and coverage as if they are listening to their local radio station, but without having to carry a separate radio device,'' said Phillip Alvelda, chief executive officer of Idetic.
