iPass reaches 10,000 active hot-spot goal.(Business)

The questions remain who is going to come out on top in the Wi-Fi space and which pricing model makes sense for these services.

While the pricing issue is a bit more complicated, the market leaders continue to separate from the pack with sizable deployments. iPass solidified its footing as a contender last week, announcing it had exceeded its goal of having 10,000 active hot spots in its Global Broadband Roaming network by the end of the second quarter, counting more than 11,179 hot spots in 33 countries at the end of June.
