Preferred Voice Inc. (PVI) and First Cellular of Southern Illinois have launched a personalized ringback service for First Cellular subscribers in what the companies said is the first commercially available ringback service in the United States. "There has been a lot of talk about the potential of ringbacks in the U.S.

and how this new personalization service can provide significant value to operators to generate revenue, increase ARPU and decrease churn while allowing subscribers to tailor their service to their unique needs,'' said Latif Nathani, chief executive officer of PVI.
