WCA, Nextel favor smaller areas for Internet service at 2.5 GHz.(News)

Byline: JEFFREY SILVA A leading industry group has asked the Federal Communications Commission to modify provisions in a major decision designed to foster high-speed wireless Internet service in a reconfigured 2.5 GHz band. The Wireless Communications Association wants the agency to change its decision to use major economic areas rather than smaller basic trading areas during the transition to the new Broadband Radio Service.
