French company Vivendi Universal has filed a complaint in Poland against its co-owners of wireless carrier Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa. Vivendi Universal filed a complaint against Elektrim and Deutsche Telekom related to the bilateral agreement between France and Poland to protect investments.
Vivendi is charging that a series of acts constitute a fraudulent abuse of process, and that the Polish justice system has taken no steps to rectify the alleged fraud. Vivendi said the two companies are attempting to deprive Vivendi of its interests in PTC. DT owns 49 percent of PTC, and Vivendi said the remaining stake is owned by a joint venture between Vivendi and Elektrim.
