AT&T increases hot-spot numbers.(News)

AT&T Corp. said it has increased its global remote access footprint to include 9,094 Wi-Fi hot spots and 1,551 wired Ethernet locations. The company said 5,770 of the Wi-Fi hot spots are in the United States, where the company has focused its deployments at major hotels, convention centers, well-known book stores and cafes, and at airports.

AT&T recently expanded its agreement with GoRemote Internet Communications Inc., which provides secure remote access locations. AT&T is offering its customers usage-based Wi-Fi hourly plans with a daily cap of four hours and session-based Wi-Fi plans.
