Samsung, Verizon launch music phone.(News)

Samsung Telecommunications America and Verizon Wireless launched the SCH-a950 handset, a music-centric phone that includes an MP3 player and dual stereo speakers. The phone accommodates a TransFlash memory card that fits into the handset's expandable memory slot for storing songs. Phone users can press the `play' key on the front of the phone to activate the music player, and other keys allow users to scroll through music selections as well as stop, start and skip.

The handset also features Verizon's Vcast video service and includes a 1.3 megapixel digital camera and camcorder. The phone is available for $150 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. In other handset news, Boost Mobile introduced four new phone models this month...
