AMP'D, MTV TO MAKE COMEDY.(News)

RCR Wireless News, January, 2007

Amp'd is partnering with MTV to produce a made-for-mobile comedy series. The yet-to-be-named program, slated to come to market later this year, will be co-produced by Amp'd, MTV franchise Comedy Central and comedy writer and producer Donick Cary. The offering will be available on MTV Networks' channels on Amp'd's entertainment portal.

The announcement marks the first time the Viacom subsidiary has teamed with the MVNO to produce original, made-for-mobile content. MTV has invested at least $50 million in Amp'd, however, and the firms have worked together on several other content offerings.
