Moto Rizr rises at T-Mobile USA.(Upfront)

RCR Wireless News, March, 2007

The procession of handset announcements coinciding with this week's CTIA Wireless 2007 conference is under way, and Motorola Inc. just threw a new phone at T-Mobile USA Inc. The handset is known officially as the Moto Rizr z3, and features a sliding-style form factor. The Rizr z3 sports Motorola's noted work on colors, materials and finishes; it is "pearl blue'' with a soft-touch finish.

The phone's features and T-Mobile USA's services appear oriented toward social networking, with a 2-megapixel camera and dedicated hard key for snapping photos and sharing them via the carrier's My Album, which stores pictures, video and voice messages for access by others. The handset sells for $100 with a two-year contract.
