An appeals court has reversed an Americans with Disabilities Act decision and directed the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa to decide in favor of the employer, Ag Processing Inc., and dismiss the complaint.

The case involved a worker with shoulder and back pain who had difficulty after surgery continuing his work as boiler room operator. The employee claimed he was reassigned to "degrading" and "makeshift odd jobs," and eventually terminated in violation of the ADA and Iowa Civil Rights Act.
