It's been so busy around here lately that I haven't had a chance to ride any of our long-term test bikes, just the newly arrived machines. As soon as I finish with one of them, like the BMW in this issue, I have to jump on another.

So when I was able to ride our long-term 2002 Suzuki V-Strom home and back the other day, I was shocked to discover it had nearly 14,000 miles on it. OK, no Guinness record, but when you consider that--other than its original road test--we haven't sent the bike out on any especially long trips, it's still pretty impressive. Makes sense, I guess, that Rider's 2002 Bike of the Year should be popular with both the editorial and business staffs for daily duty.
