Following up on our Ridden & Rated in October 2006, we recently got to ride the Piaggio three-wheel scooter during its official U.S. launch. Auto manufacturer Mazda holds the rights to the MP3 name in America, and at press time Piaggio had yet to come up with a new American name for the unusual vehicle.
Commuters who are weary of two wheels are Piaggio's leaning-trike target. The peace of mind that comes with knowing it would take something really stupid to make this thing fall over is reassuring indeed. That's not to say that it won't--it's just hard to do.
