Mr. Salvadori hit the nail on the head in his December Road Tales column. More than 8 million motorcyclists are in America, but less than 1 million of them belong to the AMA. If more motorcyclists would join up, there wouldn't be injustices like insurance discrimination, roads and trails closed to motorcycles, and car drivers getting off with a slap on the wrist after maiming or killing a motorcyclist. There's strength in numbers, and we as motorcyclists could have it if we all joined the AMA.
