For the past month I have had the distinct displeasure of riding a late-model Danniflex 500 for six to eight hours every day. In case you haven't heard of this machine, it features a widely adjustable rake (-10 to 130 degrees) and broad range of ergonomic adjustments, and at just 35.1 pounds is extremely light (although my wife Genie would disagree). The ergos are complemented by comfortable sheepskin padding, also adjustable with hook-and-loop fasteners, and the 500's instrument panel is quite intuitive and easy to read. Yet the Danniflex is still nothing less than a torture rack. Despite all the adjustments its legroom is both too stretched out and very cramped, with the knee bent to 90-100 degrees at times, and the thing puts so much weight on my tailbone that after...
