Staff How much fun can you have in a day? "A world of fun," says Christian Holmes, a five-year-old who recently celebrated his birthday at the ARS Inc. gravel pit south of Littleton, Colo. ARS owners Kim Haarberg and Jim Anttonen served up a great party for the birthday boy and his friends.

Upon arrival, partygoers were given "Bob the Builder" construction hardhats and great little coloring books. Next they had the chance to go into the gravel pit and learn first-hand about the "big trucks." Jim and co-worker Ann Baxter gave the children rides on a wheel loader and D8N dozer, and showed them each how to work the controls and even move the dirt. It was a thrill for every child.
