Staff Pojoaque, N.M.-- On 587 acres of tribal land along US-84/285 12 miles north of Santa Fe, Centex Corp. of Dallas is beginning construction on the Pueblo of Pojoaque's Buffalo Thunder Resort, a four-star destination resort including a 390-room Hilton Hotel (the Hilton Santa Fe North), luxury spa and fitness center, several restaurants, entertainment venues, meeting space, and a new 151,000-square-foot Las Vegas style casino.
Designed by Thalden-Boyd Architects of Tulsa, Okla., the resort will be built in the traditional Pueblo style, with completion scheduled for September 2008. No costs have been released.
