Nikon D2X digital SLR camera: pushing DSLR boundaries.(sneak peek at the latest gear)

Nikon has once again pushed the digital SLR boundaries with its latest digital Single Lens Reflex (SLR) introduction--the D2X. At the heart of the D2X is the camera's new 12.4-megapixel DX Format CMOS image sensor and new image processing engine. The D2X utilizes a new generation system LSI to improve image processing.

Nikon has optimized the DX Format sensor for use with the entire range of DX lenses and is compatible with the full line of high-quality Nikkor lenses. The D2X is capable of shooting 5 frames per second at the full 12.4-megapixel resolution, for up to 21 JPEGs or 15 NEFs (Nikon's RAW file format).
