Fordham Univ in New York City uses System 1032 9.0, a relational database management system from CompuServe Data Technologies, in its Development Research and Tracking System. The DRAT system utilizes fourth generation language technology designed for query-intensive applications on DEC VAX minicomputers. It was initially developed by Fordham's Computer Information Management Service on a DEC VAX 11/785 model, and now runs on a DEC VAX 6310. Using DRAT, Fordham fund raisers maintain and update information on 3,400 alumni, as well as a data base of corporate and foundation donors.
