Motorola receives '2006 Corporate Award' from the IEEE standards association.(IEEE)

Motorola Inc. has received the 2006 IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) Corporate Award in recognition of its "outstanding contributions to IEEE standards, which allow people to be mobile and connected across the globe." Motorola has been a leader in the creation of many IEEE standards.

Most significantly, it has contributed substantially to the broad family of IEEE 802 wireless standards by participating in over 50 IEEE 802 working groups and task groups.
