Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has announced a slew of new programming to combat STAR's ratings puller Kaun Banega Karorepati (KBC). SET is believed to be wooing movie stars Govinda and Rekha to host entertainment shows, and has contracted stars Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Sunny, and Esha Deol to host one off shows exclusively for SET.
Sony is also working on a gameshow, although "not necessarily to counter KBC", SET's vice president - network sales and revenue management and senior vice president, Sony Max channel, Kacon Sethi told a gathering of advertisers, cable operators, and journalists last month.
