Hong Kong's dominant broadcaster, Television Broadcasts Ltd (TVB) and the Philippine's leading TV network, ABS-CBN, are said to be among seven investors shortlisted in a preliminary bid to acquire a 49 percent stake in Indonesia's top terrestrial television station, Indosiar.

Industry sources indicate that another Hong Kong entity may also be involved in the bid. Asset management investment head of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA), Dasa Sutantio, said due diligence was expected to be completed in November.

Foreign investors are involved in the bid through a network of local partners, Sutantio said. IBRA, under PT Holdiko Perkasa, is to sell 49 percent of its 57.26 percent Indosiar stake. PT Holdiko Perkasa controls all assets of...
