Thailand's iTV extends share payment deadline to Oct 2005.(Independent Television (Thailand))(Brief Article)

The board of Thai free-TV broadcaster, Independent TV (iTV), has extended the deadline for production house Born Corp to acquire a 10% share in the station. The original deadline for the US$34-million payment was October 2004. The new deadline is October 2005. Born Corp is controlled by iTV chief operating officer, Traiphop Limpraphat, who joined iTV from BEG World Channel 3 in 2004.

ITV's efforts to increase market share also include selling a 10%-stake to production house Kantana. Born Corp specialises in game and variety shows. Kantana is known for drama. The two production houses have helped iTV increase viewer share to 15% from 8% a year ago.
