Telecommunications giant, SingTel, has signed a 3G content deal with Hong Kong's free-TV leader, Television Broadcasts Ltd (TVB). The agreement covers 80x20-minute versions of TVB's classic 1970s Chinese drama, The Bund, and is TVB's first content supply arrangement outside its home market.

Financial details of the 3G deals have not been disclosed, but are likely to include a small fee plus revenue share based on take-up. SingTel's executiveVP (consumer business) and SingTel Mobile CEO, Lim Chuan Poh, said 3G content business models were still being established and industry players were exploring options together.
