The MGM Channel has signed a carriage deal with Hong Kong's dominant pay-TV platform, i-Cable Communication's Hong Kong Cable TV--the library channel's first deal in Asia since the since the sale of the US-based MGM was announced to a consortium including Sony and Comcast. The Hong Kong carriage agreement makes MGM part of the newly launched 22-channel CEO package, which is being offered for HK$129/ US$16.60 a month--less than half the price of Hong Kong Cable's basic package of about 50 channels.
