Dentsu ad agency acquired 45,000 additional shares of Fuji TV for an estimated US$88 million, increasing its share of the network to 1.75% from 0.06%. The move comes as Fuji prepares to launch broadband distribution of terrestrial content. Dentsu Research Institute earlier announced that internet advertising would more than triple to US$5 billion in 2009 from 2004 and would expand by at least 20% annually from 2005.
