VIRGIN, with an overall turnover of about [Pounds] 1.8 billion ($3 billion), has eight main divisions, which operate autonomously:
Virgin Travel Group, which owns Virgin Atlantic Airways, flying 2m passengers a year to America, Japan, Hong Kong, South Africa and Athens; Virgin Holidays, a tour operator; Virgin Aviation Services, a cargo service; and Virgin Express, a budget airline connecting Brussels and other European cities.
Virgin Retail, which is joint owner of the Our Price record-shop chain in Britain and operates Megastores, large music and entertainment media shops, in several parts of the world. Other subsidiaries include Virgin Trading Company, which owns Virgin Cola.
