WE ARE OF THE EARTH, ELEmentally. Humans are just another animal really, the ones with brains, the ones who laugh and sing. The ones fashioned after God.
Until quite recently, Earth's vastness and bounty, its seas, forests, plains, and rivers, served a limitless buffet for human expansion and industry. We created objects of beauty and genius. We also stripped or burned or mined or drained, but the planet was large enough to absorb the impact.
During this generation, however, the balance has tipped. We are losing.
