Every few weeks, Jeff Martin leaves his central Illinois farm to rub shoulders with other members of The Chicago Farmers. This eclectic group of doctors, lawyers, grain traders, stockbrokers, ex-teachers, a retired police chief and a variety of other professionals has something in common--they all own farmland or have an interest in agriculture.

For Martin, the group is like a human library of information and resources about worlds he might never know, but needs and wants to understand.
