Bell Atlantic and CellularVision of New York plan to give 6.3 million New Yorkers a wireless TV alternative to cable within the next two years. Bell Atlantic plans to cover the region with as many as 35 cell sites that will transmit wireless signals in the 28 ghz spectrum. Its new-found partner, CellularVision, is the only company in the country with FCC approval to deliver video signals over the super-high frequency.

CellularVision, which won its go-ahead from the FCC last December, delivers 49 channels for $29.95 a month to about 200 subscribers in Brighton Beach, N.Y.
