Bresnan International Partners, an affiliate of multiple system cable operator Bresnan Communications, has reached an agreement in principle to pursue cable TV investments in Chile with existing media company Cristalerias de Chile. The companies have teamed to acquire Santiago-based Chile Cable S.A.

for $58 million and may make equal investments of as much as $47.5 million in a Chilean company to be organized and owned equally by both parties. Top U.S. multiple system operator Tele-Communications Inc. owns 80% of Bresnan International.
