New server will integrate satellite and phone lines for audio data delivery ABC Radio Networks and DG Systems jointly are developing a new digital audio distribution server that will integrate ABC's satellite facilities and DG's system of phone-line communications to transmit commercials to radio stations.

ABC and DG Systems will begin testing the system in October with a trial group of 40 stations. They hope to deploy the system to 5,000 stations, including hundreds of ABC's 3,400 affiliates, by next April. ABC Radio's satellite system transmits programing, commercials and digital audio files to thousands of radio stations.
