Interactive, online payment system Nynex and Chase Manhattan Bank have created an interactive payment system designed for electronic commerce over interactive television and online networks. The partners released a prototype of the software that will reside in back-office systems and allow secure transactions for electronically ordering movies on demand and any type of interactive shopping service.
The system will allow users to pay by credit card, debit card, ATM card, checking account or pre-paid tokens or coupons.
