It's wakeup time at the CBS owned-station division. Last week, management at its flag ship WCBS-TV New York, in an unprecedented move, abruptly axed its starting lineup of news anchors as well as two highly paid correspondents recently imported from other stations with much fanfare. After months of criticism for fumbling major spot stories (including a blizzard last winter an the explosion of TWA Flight 800 off Long Island), the station fired anchors John Johnson and Michele Marsh, sports anchor Bernie Smilovitz, anchors/reporters Tony Guida and Reggie Harris, and reporters Magee Hickey and Roseanne Colletti.
