Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) expects the Justice Department to expand its investigation of Microsoft, in light of allegations made at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing last week. "If Justice doesn't broaden that lawsuit, there is something wrong with Justice," Hatch told reporters after the hearing.

Microsoft did not have a representative at the hearing. "That hearing was about lining up witnesses who are all competitors against Microsoft and giving them a forum to voice their individual complaints," said Microsoft spokesman Mark Murray. "It's unfortunate that a government committee would take sides."
