Home improvement's fate after the 1998-99 season remains an open question (see above), as does the whereabouts of the show's producer, Disney-based Wind Dancer. The production company, embroiled in a law suit with Disney over Home improvement, recently fulfilled its contract with the studio, and is considered likely to seek a new in-house production deal that would give it more autonomy.
One frequently floated possibility: Fox, which is enthusiastic about Touchstone/Wind Dancer's latest comedy, Costello.
