Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedFormer 'Seinfeld' cast member Michael Richards has signed a development deal with NBC to produce a new sitcom for midseason on the network with three 'Seinfeld' alums.

Former Seinfeld writer-producers Spike Feresten, Greg Kavet and Andy Robin will serve as executive producers on the sitcom in which Richards will play a detective. Richards is expected to take a producer's credit. NBC has given a six-episode commitment to the show, which is being produced at Castle Rock. NBC hopes to air the show by April.
