As AMFM Inc. and Clear Channel Communications Inc. ready their merger, AMFM Vice Chairman and Radio Group President James E. de Castro has retired. De Castro, who is widely respected by his peers in the radio business, stepped down last Friday. "AMFM would not enjoy the success and stature it does today were it not for Jimmy," AMFM Chairman Thomas 0.
