HERB SCHLOSSER'S 30-YEAR career at NBC and RCA had him involved in business and programming projects that ranged from the production of Bonanza to the head of video disc programming to co-founding cable's Arts & Entertainment Network.

His adeptness at bridging the dissimilar worlds of commerce and creativity was evident early in his career. A graduate of Princeton (1948) and Yale Law School (1951), Schlosser worked at New York law firms before joining NBC in 1957 as counsel for California National Productions, a subsidiary of NBC that produced and distributed television film series through its NBC Films Division.
