Former FCC General Counsel Christopher Wright will head the appellate practice of Washington law firm Harris Wiltshire & Grannis, beginning April 2. Wright became FCC general counsel in 1997 after serving as deputy general counsel for three years. Wright, who has argued 27 cases before the U.S.

Supreme Court, "is one of the most respected appellate lawyers in the United States," says Scott Blake Harris, managing partner of the firm and himself a former FCC staffer.
