|HOME ALONE' TIE-IN PARTNERS GIVE HIGH GRADES TO CAMPAIGN
When 20th Century Fox Film Corp. first approached Pepsi-Cola about a tie-in with the then-unproduced Home Alone, the softdrink giant cordially passed on the project. A year later, when the film became the third-highest-grossing movie of all time, Pepsi couldn't wait to get in on the video release.
"They sent me a script of the film, but a movie about a 10-year-old left behind by his family wasn't for us," said Harvey Popolow, national promotion manager at Pepsi. "But, almost a year later to the day, FoxVideo came to us about the video release, and we went in."
