M*A*S*H series arrives on video as mail-order product. (Columbia House Video Library to market television series as part of mail-order product line)

Following the distribution path of landmark television series such as I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners, M*A*S*H: The Collector's Edition was released last month through mail-order company Columbia House Video Library. Series producer Twentieth Century Fox Television has not indicated to Columbia House how long a window it will have before the tape is released to the retail community, said Columbia House VP Harry Elias, who also noted that CBS allowed the mail-order club to market the Lucy series for more than four years before it was released at retail.
