Gearing up for a last appeal to potential co-plaintiffs, Independent Video Retailers Group (IVRG) president Bob Webb last week identified many of the retailers who have already signed on to the group's proposed antitrust lawsuit.

Webb, who won support both for IVRG as a buying and marketing group and for the proposed suit at his Rally for Independents at the Video Software Dealers Association convention in July, is planning a repeat performance for the East Coast Video Show.

Webb plans to use the rally, set for Oct. 7 at 8:30 a.m., to make a final appeal to dissatisfied independents to support IVRG's antitrust suit. The suit is expected to allege and seek to end preferential pricing deals between the major studios and Blockbuster Entertainment....
